Art. antihypertensive drugs (beta-blockers), used to fight hypertension, when the pressure is 140 to 90 for a long time. A slight increase can usually be reduced by reducing stress, eating a healthy diet, and exercising.
A new study has shown that people with high blood pressure also benefit from drinking black tea.
The authors of the paper, scientists from USA and Denmark, came to the conclusion that polyphenols contained in black tea activate the KCNQ5 gene, which regulates nerve activity and can contribute to the expansion of blood vessels.
Researchers emphasize that the activity of the KCNQ5 gene is stimulated only in a direct way combined with black tea. That is, it is better to drink it without combining it with milk, since in this case the activity of the gene will be suppressed. The experts' summary states that “people with high blood pressure should drink black tea more often, but strictly without milk.”
